Trailer Analyses In Relation To My Groups' Trailer and Their Conventions

Side Effects:

Crime|Drama|Thriller
                                                                                                 
- One of the main factors within the group's trailer is the outcome and side effects of using and abusing drugs. This trailer is relateable to what our's will be as the main actress is unaware to begin with that she has killed her husband because of the drugs she has take, similary to ours the main actresses is unaware of what havoc she is causing/ed, instead she passes the actions over to some 'mystery demon girl' (which is really her schizophrenia counterpart, her hatred in living form)

                                                                                                                                       
-A young woman's world unravels when a drug prescribed by her psychiatrist has unexpected side effects.
-Emily Taylor, despite being reunited with her husband from prison, becomes severely depressed with emotional episodes and suicide attempts. Her psychiatrist, Jonathan Banks, after conferring with her previous doctor, eventually prescribes an experimental new medication called Ablixa. The plot thickens when the side effects of the drug lead to Emily killing her husband in a "sleepwalking" state.
-What follows is a dark quest that threatens to tear what's left of his life apart even as he discovers the diabolical truth of this tragedy.
Emily is pushed to take some sleep pills by the prison's doctor, but she says that she doesn't want to see another pill in her life again.


One Missed Call:

- Another main factor within the group's trailer is the effects we will be using to create distortion and confusion to the viewer and main character (Evie), by editing faces and creating illusions/hallucinations of figures and beings. The trailer is relatable and has inpsired the idea to create such abominations. Throughout the film we experience contact with the irregular objects and visions such as maggots and insects that aren't really there, however in the end everything pieces together and the viewer realises that all of the visions seen were connect to the death that started the haunting, the objects such as insects were the last thing it saw before it died and the hatred remembered this iconic items. The Film is a mystery horror like our idea everything fits together as connections are made however the trailer will not reveal this realisation, it will only tease and give an oppotunity to create their own judgement.
                                                                                                                                        
- Several people start receiving voice-mails from their future selves - messages which include the date, time, and some of the details of their deaths.
- Leann sees weird things and in the precise informed hour, Leann is attacked by a supernatural force on a footbridge over a train station
- She hallucinates seeing a centipede crawling along Beth's arm, and sees strange faces. When the class finishes, Beth asks her if she wants to go somewhere, but Leann blows her off, telling her she needs to go to the library.


Shrooms

- Shrooms is similar to Side Effects (however it is a horror which contains graphic gore imagry, not a drama/thriller) in the film people are under the influence of mushroom drugs 'Shrooms' and are warned about one type of mushroom which looks similar but is leathal to human consumption, the people by mistake eat the bad kind and began to suffer traumatic and dealy hallucinations. One women believes a 'witch' is killing her friends when it is actually her. This idea of thinking the killer is someone else and putting the blame on them is the idea we created for our trailer as 'Evie' is unaware because of her perscribed pills that she is the one actually harming/haunting herself and friends not this 'little girl' figure.
                                                                                                                                       
- 3 couples go to Ireland woods to collect magic mushrooms and trip out.strange things happen, people start disappearing, silhouettes move through the woods and the creepy story starts to melt into reality. The horror kicks in along with the effect of the mushrooms.



The Unborn

Horror|Mystery|Thriller
                                                                                                
- This film consists of a hate filled demon of a unborn twin haunting the sister who that granting life. The idea behind the film is the past (either unkown or was that which was attempted to be dismissed) has came back (finally) to haunt what most angers it. In the case of the groups trailer the past of Evie's truamatised childhood has came back to haunt her with the 'little girl' figure following her and causing a disruption to her balanced life. This figure is not real, its what her mind as conjoured out of the pain she once expereinced and this pain has escaped by little connections that trigger the memory/s
                                                                                                                                       
- A young woman fights the spirit that is slowly taking possession of her. She asks her father and discovers that her mother lost a son that died in the womb. Casey suspects that she is haunted by the spirit of her brother.
